The Dubai Reality Check
Life started in the tranquil country of Oman with a cute chubby little baby girl that was the first born in an eventual family of 6 (parents, 2 girls and 2 boys). I had the most magical childhood, then went to university in America, met my husband, came back, got a job at a world leading bank, was thriving in that area. Then covid hit and right after I got married, moved to Dubai, got pregnant a year later and had to leave my job in Oman and couldn’t land anything in Dubai (shocking reality check!) I thought it would be so easy to get one, but it wasn’t, even though I had interviews and sometimes actually got offered the job, but things would go left right before signing. So, here I am trying an unconventional career, because why not in this day and age.

Welcome ladies, to my arab (khaliji) girl life. I am going to be sharing my mothering ways, our fun travels, self-loving care, home décor, unique style, and all my anti-brain rot hobbies (crucial!). I always try to be as authentic and as me as I possibly can because I think that that’s the way to optimal living and I am so excited to share it with you and to also hear from you.
Now that you know how I got here, I want to show you the atmosphere I’ve built. My next post is a deep dive into motherhood, magnified—how I integrate my love for my son with my obsession for me time and the beach reads that keep me sane. Stay tuned.
